Ludhiana, June 19, 2022: In recognition of his services towards trade and industry, Award of Honour was given to Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra during 4th MICE Conference held at hotel Le-Meridian, New Delhi.
The conference was organized by the Mice Affairs Media Group containing 3 Media Platforms MIce Affairs, The Association News and Trav Buzz News. The 4th annual conference of the group was attended by notable industry experts and association leaders from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Mauritius were also present. HE Dr. Janice Darbari, Hon. Consul General of Montenegro in India was the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, while conferring the award of honour, Sachin Manocha, CEO of Mice Affairs said, Prof. Chopra is the fine and clear example of what one can achieve with determination, sincerity and hard working. Kamal Chopra is the chairman of the World Print and Communication Forum (WPCF) – perhaps the first person from Asia. Chopra may appear to be just a speck, yet, his devotion to empower the printers, upgrade the printing technologies through education, research and training; share information and knowledge with fellow printers, across the aisle; network with them, organise print travels, print awareness camps and set up local area print teaching and training hubs, where print entrepreneurs coach the youth; organise technical conferences and arrange academic interactions among printing institutions; and signing of memorandum of understanding between Indian universities engaged in printing courses – diplomas to doctoral degrees – and global printing and communication institutions, including visits to campus abroad are the unique contributions to the profession.
In recognition of his services towards printing industry, especially International Print Education, the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, China designated Mr Kamal Chopra as Honorary Professor of BIGC- the world’s largest Printing University. It is for the first time ever that such a felicitation if given to a printer in India.
Be it slogan: ‘Proud to be a Printer’; or the process of forming local-area associations of printers of greater participation to enhance the profession; his commitment to the print cause is 100%. Manocha added, recently he has been nominated in the ‘Power 100’ of Printing industry of India according to the PrintWeek survey, for his role with print, especially print education.
