Chandigarh, June 17, 2022: Rich Tributes were paid to eminent urdu scholars and a critic in Dr.Gopi Chand Narang, who passed away at the age of 91 on June 15 at charlotle North Carolina.
Addressing students and faculty members at a Condolence meeting held here today Prof.Gopi Chand Narang Championed the cause of promoting urdu in India and Abroad with a missionary zeal in the 20th and in the 21st Century .Both urdu and Prof.Gopi Chand Narang followed each other at a tempetuous pace even in the remote area in the world.
Dr.Ali Abbas further added that Prof.Gopi Chand Narang was loved and adored by one and all for the services rendered in him for the promotion of urdu. Its Colossal work on Amir Khusro and mirza Galib and his books on Learning urdu through English and Hindi would keep his memory alive till eternity, his contribution to the domain of urdu is of a very high standard.
His works have glorified the glorious traditions of urdu literature.A void has been created by his sudden departure.
