Project funding of Rs.47 lacs from ICMR for 3 years
Dr. Mani Chopra (PI), Dr. Vijay Kumar (Co-PI) from Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda (Co-PI) from Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali have received the project funding of Rs. 47 lacs from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for 3 years.

Chandigarh, February 28, 2025: Dr. Mani Chopra (PI), Dr. Vijay Kumar (Co-PI) from Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda (Co-PI) from Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali have received the project funding of Rs. 47 lacs from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for 3 years.
The project will focus on the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy of a plant derived compound, fisetin, encapsulated in nano-peptides to target circadian rhythm and sleep disturbances associated with autism, a brain developmental disorder in rat model.
