Inflation, India and Indians
Inflation is there in the country. Not only in India. But, it is seen globally. There may be multiple reasons for the same. The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine may be said to be one of the reasons. In India, the present global scenario is giving an opportunity to the business class to indulge into the price rise claiming that the import of the particular item is at present is limited or delayed or is in short supply due to the war or other prevailing conditions. Similarly, the prices of various essential commodities are showing upwards trends upsetting the household budget of the common man specially the middle class families who are running hand to mouth with the inflated bills of their electricity, petrol, diesel, vegetables, fruits etc. The recent spurt in the prices of vegetables and fruits are due to the mechanism of demand and supply. Vegetables and fruits are being under the perishable commodities and in these days of scorching heat the prices have inflated too much extent especially of lemon. Even though the Modi  Government is still yet going ahead with free Covid-19 vaccination, free/nominal price wheat and pulses for 80 crore of the India’s population due to Covid-19 pandemic and to keep the budget of the poor in order. The need of time is to allow wheat at nominal price to the middle class families also who desire or demand. The Union Government should also introduce a new category for all those middle class families for ration facilities at reduced prices from fair price shops.

BJP needs to change organisational structure in Punjab?
BJP has met with a humiliated defeat in the recently held assembly elections in Punjab. Now, there is a dire need to review the party’s organisational structure in the state as there is a strong feeling that this could only boost morale of the party cadre. There is an ongoing feeling in the party rank and file that Punjab needs an experienced and educated leader to run the party affairs. There is also a feeling that the new leadership should have the complete knowledge about the demographic conditions of Punjab. Only such a leadership can bring back the past glory of the party in the future. There is a feeling that the party must think over it as to why it suffered a major loss in Punjab compared to a better performance in other four states where it succeeded in forming its governments. The changes, if any, need to be done at this time only because very short time is left for holding elections to municipal corporations in Punjab. These elections could become a strong basis for the coming elections to the parliament in 2024. Thus, the party rank and file is pinning hopes on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of State Gajendera Singh Shekhawat and National President JP Nadda with a hope that they will review the party’s organisation structure in Punjab to ensure better future of the party in all the coming elections in the state.

Vada tera vada….
At the time of elections to Punjab assembly, the AAP had given several guarantees to people of the state. Now, when the party has formed its government with a thumping majority people are anxiously looking at the Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to implement all the guarantees. At the same time, people of Punjab are very much concerned with the deteriorating law and order condition in the state. There is a demand that the state government should take strict measures to maintain law and order at all costs. It is a hard fact that a peaceful state can progress in a true sense. Moreover, Punjab had earlier suffered badly during the black era of militancy. It is hoped that all political parties will jointly work for peace, brotherhood and unity and integrity of the country.
