PROPER DISPOSAL OF USED MASKS & GLOVES SHOULD BE ENSURED: MC COMMISSIONER
URGES CITY RESIDENTS FOR SUPPORT
Ludhiana: MC Commissioner Mrs Kanwal Preet Kaur Brar has appealed to the city residents to dispose off the used masks and gloves, should keep them separately and whenever garbage collection person comes, both gloves and masks should be handed over to him separately so that no person gets affected.
She informed that the entire globe is now affected with Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) and as a safety measure, a large number of city residents are now using both masks and gloves daily. Keeping in mind of the city residents, she has appealed to them to not dispose off the used masks and gloves at any place, but instead should spray sanitiser on them or they should be cut using a scissor and the pieces can be collected in different bag. This bag should be handed over separately to the garbage collection person, so that they can be disposed off properly.
She said that by doing this, there would be no misuse of such gloves and masks, besides it would also help in keeping our environment safe. Mrs Brar said that the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana is committed to ensure the safety of city residents and urged them of full cooperation in this regard.
