PTU commemorates Guru Ravidas Prakash Utsav

Jalandhar, February 11, 2014: All teaching and non-teaching staff of Punjab Technical University commemorated the 637th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravidas with great fanfare. The staff members also organised a langar at this occasion. All officers and staff members contributed zealously towards organising the Prakash Utsav celebrations and sought the blessings of the revered Guru.
Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU, congratulated one and all on this auspicious occasion and said, “Guru Sahib’s preaching inspire us to create a society that’s free from unnecessary rituals and hypocrisy and this very message of his so very pertinent for the times that we live in today. Everyone should rehearse what the Guru taught - man changa te kathauti vich ganga, and indulge in good deeds with a clean mind and honest approach.”
On this occasion, the staff felicitated Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor and other officers of the University including Dr. Anirudh Pratap Singh, Dean – Research, Innovation & Consultancy (RIC); Dr, Rajneesh Kant Sachdev, Officiating Registrar; SK Mishra, Head-Finance; Harvinder Pal Singh, Executive Engineer; Jaspal Singh, Controller Examinations; and Sandeep Kajal, Director, Distance Education.
Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, also distributed gifts to little children on the occasion.
