PTU extends dates for counselling fee deposit

-Extended schedule is applicable for Bachelor and Masters Degree courses

-Counselling schedule for B.Tech., B.Pharmacy and B.Arch courses released

-Choice of college and Registration for B.Tech. will go parallel this time, fee deposition changes in schedule according to the demands of the students: Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu

-PTU will hold Joint online counselling for 4 Universities of Punjab

Kapurthala, July 7, 2013: Punjab Technical University has extended the dates for depositing the counselling fee of joint online counselling for 4 universities of Punjab. As per the new schedule, the last date of depositing fee for first round of counselling of B.Tech. and B.Tech. fee  waver category is 9 July 2013. The last date of depositing fee for second round of counselling is 22nd July 2013. For first round of counselling of B.Arch. and B.Pharmacy courses, fee is to be deposited till 11th July and for second round of counselling, the last date is 28th July.

In Master Degree Courses, the last date to deposit fee for first round of counselling of M.Tech. and M.Pharmacy courses is 12th July and for second round of counselling, the last date is 28th July. For M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses, fee is to be deposited till 9th July for first round of counselling and till 29th July for second round of counselling. For B.Tech. lateral entry second round counselling, the last date to deposit fee is 23rd July. 

Alongwith this, the web schedule for B.Tech., B.Pharma and B.Arch joint online counseling has also been released by PTU. This joint counselling has been held by PTU for 4 Universities of the state, their affiliated colleges, regional campus and neighbourhood campus. These universities include Panjabi University Patiala, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and Punjab Technical University. 

Releasing the counselling schedule, PTU Dean Academics and Chief Co-ordinator Admissions Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu told that the process of fee depositing for counseling had been started on 1st May, 2013. In first round of counselling, 85% seats are reserved for students of Punjab and 15% seats are for students from other states. The registration cum choice filling for B.Tech. courses will start from 5th July to 11th July. These dates are same for students applying under fee waiver scheme. 

Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu said that this time, for B.Tech., the registration and choice filling process will go simultaneously. For B.Arch and B.Pharmacy courses, registration is to be done from 10th July to 13th July and the dates for choice filling are from 15th July to 18th July. He said that result for first round of counselling of B.Tech will be announced on 16th July and the result for B.Arch and B.Pharmacy first round counselling will be announced on 22nd July. B.Tech students will report to the allotted seats till 20th July and the date for reporting for B.Arch and Pharmacy students is 26th July. 

For second round of counselling of B.Tech, registration and choice filling is to be done between 22nd July and 24th July. For B.Arch and B.Pharmacy the registration is to be done from 28th July to 30th July and choice filling is to be done from 2nd August to 4th August. The result for second round of counselling of B.Tech. is to be announced on 27th July and for B.Arch and Pharmacy the result is to be announced on 6th August.

Chief coordinator Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu told that PTU has established an admission desk and the students can take its information from the university website. He emphasised that only those students can take part in online counselling process who will deposit the counselling fee according to new schedule.
