PTU organising TCS Joint-Campus Placement Drive at KCL IMT, Jalandhar on Friday.

Jalandhar, January 30, 2015: Punjab Technical University organised "TCS-Joint Placement Drive at its affiliated college KCL Institute of Management & Technology. More than 200 students from all over Punjab participated in this mega event.

Er.Navdeepak Sandhu, Placement Officer PTU stated that TCS evaluated the students OF bca,B.Sc IT & B.Sc (Computer Science). The selection process included online tests followed by interview. The selected students will be paid pay package of 1.68 lacs .Students of more than 15 colleges participated in the event.

The placement drive is aimed at bringing together Academia and Industry & providing Job opportunities to the students. It aims at dissolving the traditional boundaries between academic levels, education providers, and economic development. The main aim of the University is to provide academic excellence to its students and along with it providing enough employment opportunities to them so that they can utilize the knowledge so gained in practical environment & bring laurel to the University & the affiliated Institute” Sandhu added .

Dr. S.K Sood (Director) appreciated the efforts made by PTU for extending Placement support to its students. He wished good luck to all the students participating in the fest. He said that KCLIMT  is glad to serve as a hub for all the regional students from PTU affiliated colleges, bringing the best Companies within their reach and aspires to work for the betterment of the society.

Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs), KCLIMT ,stated that since inception KCLIMT has been providing quality education to the students and along with this we aim to provide best placements to the student’s.We had tie up’s with leading banks like Axis Bank & ICICI who has been conducting placement drives in our campus and recruiting our student’s and student’s of our previous batches are almost placed. He urged that all the institutions should unanimously work to achieve this goal for the benefit of students.

Kamal Nain Sharma, HOD,IT , KCLIMT, gave vote of thanks. He appreciated and thanked PTU for taking concrete steps for providing students a great platform for their career enhancement. . He insisted that the responsibility also lies on the students to make the best out of this opportunity. A token of appreciation was given to the representatives of the TCS.

The placement drive turned out to be a great success for the students and paved the way for their career path.
