PU Department of Music honoured Dr.Prabhakar Kashyap
The Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh today honoured Dr.Prabhakar Kashyap (Assistant Professor) on being awarded with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2020 in Hindustani Vocal category by Sangeet Natak Akademi, the National Akademi of Music, dance and Drama, New Delhi.

Chandigarh, November 30, 2022: The Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh today honoured Dr.Prabhakar Kashyap (Assistant Professor) on being awarded with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2020 in Hindustani Vocal category by Sangeet Natak Akademi, the National Akademi of Music, dance and Drama, New Delhi. The Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards will be conferred by the President of India in a special investiture ceremony.
On this occasion Prof. Neelam Paul, Chairperson, department of Music said that it is a matter of great pride for the department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She also said that Dr. Prabhkar Kashyap deserves this honour and this award will definitely inspire him to perform with much more dedication and passion.
Professor Neelam Paul also honoured Mr. Gurdeep Singh, M.A. (Instrumental) 2nd Year Student for winning first prize in zonel as well as Inter Zonal Youth Festival 2022 for playing Rabab instrument. She appreciated sincere hard work of Mr. Gurdeep Singh and also motived other students to perform best in the field of Music and Instrumental.
