Chandigarh October 16, 2023: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized special lecture on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): An Overview” today.
Dr. Shiv Kumar, Chairperson of the department welcomed resource person and participants. Prof. Joginder Singh from Department of Library and Information Science, Kurukshetra University was the resource person. Shivangi Singh, Research Scholar of department introduced the theme of the lecture.
Prof. Joginder Singh highlighted the overview of Intellectual Property Rights. The concept of Intellectual Property Rights includes Copyright, Patent, Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Industrial design, Trade secrets.
Prof. Joginder Singh discussed about different world treaties on intellectual property rights and number of laws being followed in India. It was followed by an interactive session.
At the end, Jasbir Singh, Research Scholar of the department presented vote of thanks.
