Chandigarh: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh has organised webinar series on the theme ‘Information generation, dissemination and use during covid-19 lockdown’.
In the webinar series, five talks of experts were scheduled through cisco webex app. The first talk was delivered today (24/04/2020) by Professor Sadanand Bhansode from Department of Library and Information Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune on the topic “Information generation and various available tools for dissemination”.
At the onset of the webinar, Professor Preeti Mahajan, chairperson of the department welcomed all the participants and the key speaker. She also introduced the theme of the webinar. Professor Sadanand discussed about various methods for searching the information and how to access various subscribed resources through remote login. The talk was followed by question & answer session which was moderated by Professor Preeti Mahajan. More than 120 participants consisting of library professionals, LIS faculty, research scholars and students of LIS field participated in the webinar from the different parts of the country.
