PU Faculty Training Programme at UIPS
The course will be attended by around 145 selected participants representing 20 states across the country and 02 countries abroad
Chandigarh, February 12, 2022: The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University is organizing a one week faculty training school virtually on “Emerging Trends and Alternatives in Pharmacological Research” from February 14 to 19, 2022 under the initiative of UGC Networking Resource Centre. The course will be attended by around 145 selected participants representing 20 states across the country and 02 countries abroad.
Present training course has been planned with an aim to discuss emerging trends, tools and related issues in pharmacological research. Newer alternatives to animals are being used for developing new drugs in pharmacological research. Several ethical issues such as number of animals, ethical surgical procedure, anaesthesia and euthanasia are now being raised at different scientific platform.
Professor Raj Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh will preside over the function.
Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India will be the Chief Guest and deliver the Inaugural Lecture.
Chairperson of the Institute, Professor Indu Pal Kaur is the Program Coordinator of the UGC-NRC & Professor Anil Kumar, Course Coordinator and Dr Anurag Kuhad will be the Joint Coordinator.
A galaxy of international and national stalwarts with in-house faculty will join us to deliberate during the Faculty Training Program on leading topics.
