Chandigarh, December 4, 2014: As part of the centenary celebrations of the historical event “The Komagata Maru”, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh would host international symposium on The Komagata Maru on December 5. The Symposium is being organised by Department of History, PU at the ICSSR Complex from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday.
Dr. Renisa Mawani from University of British Colombia, Vancouver, Dr. Radhika Mongia from York University, Toranto and Prof Anjali Gera Roy from IIT, Kharagpur would speak on the historical event.
Chairperson of the Department of History informed that former PU Vice Chancellor, Prof MM Puri would be the Guest of Honour and PU Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof Ronki Ram would chair the symposium.
