Chandigarh: Prof. Sanjay Chhibber from the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University got life time achievement award during an online ceremony of IInd International Conference on Bacteriophage Research organized by Society for Bacteriophage Research and Therapy from 22nd to 24th July, 2021.
Prof. Chhibber has devoted 42 years in the teaching and research of microbiology at Panjab University. He was awarded lifetime devotion award by the Microbiology Society in 2019. He has published 265 research papers in national and international journals of repute, with 52 publications in bacteriophage therapy. At present he is serving as Emeritus Scientist (ICMR) in the department.
