Chandigarh, August 16, 2024: On the eve of 78th Independence Day, PU Radio run by School of Communication Studies (SCS) today signed an MOU with Women and Child Development Department(WCD), Government of Haryana.
Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, PU were present on the occasion and signed the MOU along with Dr. Puneet Kaur Grewal, Senior Project Consultant (Women Economic Empowerment, Micro Credit, and Policy Expert), and Smt. Pravesh Gehlot, Research Officer, WCD. Prof. Archana R. Singh and Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Chairperson, SCS were also present on the occasion.
The School of Communication Studies came together with the WCD to bring out content for the welfare of women and child. "The PU Radio will provide technical support, content creation and production consultancy for this noble campaign which will go a long way in women and child development" said Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Chairperson, SCS.
Prof. Verma congratulated SCS and said that it is a proud moment for PU.
PU community radio station has been involved in community welfare and outreach activities since 2011.
