PU Researcher to present paper in Spain

Chandigarh, June 14, 2019: Ms.Amritpal Kaur, Department of Physics, Panjab University, is going to present the research paper entitled "Binding of glycopeptides antibiotic with gold nanoparticles: Role of surfactants” in the 9th International Colloids Conference to be held during 16 - 19 June, 2019 at Barcelona, Spain. The travel is fully funded by The Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) international travel grant for the paper presentation. Ms.Amritpal Kaur is doing her research work under the supervision of Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Department of Physics, Panjab University and their research focus is on the selective drug binding to the metal nanoparticles. The gold nanoparticles are explored for specific site delivery of various drugs. In this paper the binding mechanism of glycopeptides by modifying surface of gold nanoparticles has been discussed.
