PU Rose Festival to feature Photography Competition

Chandigarh, January 17, 2015: In order to encourage photography among school going students and attract their attention towards excellence in education, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh Rose Festival has incorporated a new feature in the form of separate Photography Competition for the school children.

PU Director Public Relations Vineet Punia informed that there would be two categories of school students and the open category in the photography competition of Rose Festival. All participants other than the School Children would compete under open category. 

The theme of the Photography Competition would be “Ariel View of PU Campus” or “PU Gardens/Landscape of PU Campus”. The form would be available at the DPR office in Administration Block of Panjab University, Chandigarh. It will also be available on the PU website www.pu.ac.in and PU Official Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/official.pu.india. The entries are to be submitted at DPR office, PU up to 4 PM on February 2.

The winners would be announced on February 6 at the time of inauguration of the PU Rose Festival. The top three winners of the two categories would be honoured with certificates and the memento. The entry fee would be Rs. 50/- per participant and one person can give two entries with each form. There is no limit for submitting entries.

The top five photographs of each category would be displayed at the Official Facebook page of PU. Photograph print can be taken in colour or black and white. Edited photographs will not be accepted. The hard copy of the winners will be the property of the Organiser and the Photographs can be collected after February 9 by DPR Office by the respective participant.
