PU to conduct online exams from 17 Sept
The evaluation will be completed within 5 days of termination of exams and results will be declared accordingly
Chandigarh: Panjab University, Chandigarh has decided to conduct the first ever online examinations of Undergraduate(UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Courses from 17th September, 2020. However, the practicals for UG/PG exit or terminal classes will be conducted online from 10-15 September 2020.
The Roll number of the students will be uploaded on the University website from Sept12,2020. The UG Examinations will be of 2 hours duration from 9 am - 11 am. The question papers as per date Sheet will be uploaded on the University website www.puchd.ac.in at 8.30 AM and it will also be emailed to Chairperson/Director/ Principal. The Chairperson/Director/Principal will send the question paper to the concerned student using different electronic modes. The Director / Principal of the Institute/College/USOL will upload the question paper at their official website also. The students will be able to download the same from the PU Website i.e. puchd.ac.in. After 2 hours, the students will send a scanned answer book by uploading the same to the source. If by any chance, they are unable to submit online, the facility is provided to submit the same in the sealed envelope physically to the nearest Nodal Centre or by Registered/Speed Post and the list of all Nodal Centres will be uploaded on the University website. Similarly the PG exam will be held from 10am-12am.
The candidate will be required to attempt 50% of the question paper by choosing any questions. However, the student shall ensure that he/ she has attempted an answer carrying 50% of the maximum marks where 50% is fraction (2.5 will be 2). They will not be asked to attempt any compulsory question. The candidates will solve the question paper from their location on A4 size paper in his handwriting with a maximum page limit of 12 sheets of which only one side has to be used. The candidate is required to write his/her roll no/class/paper/course and signature on each sheet.
In case, the student cannot appear online, a special extra chance will be given to appear in the physical exam as and when the situation improves.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor has constituted a special Monitoring Coordination Committee which will be monitoring the issues on day to day basis related to exams, technical hurdles, administrative issues and logistics pertaining to online exams. A special dedicated email will be generated by the Controller office for addressing grievances regarding online exams.
The Nodal centre will be created where all kinds of facilities related to online conduct/post conduct activities will be provided.
