Public dealing hours fixed from 12 noon to 1 pm in government offices

Chandigarh, May 15, 2014: Taking serious note of the government officers not sticking to the meeting hours meant exclusively for public dealings, Chief Minister, Punjab Parkash Singh Badal has directed them to remain available in their respective offices for the public dealing during the fixed meeting hours.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the government said that the Punjab government officers have been directed to remain available on all working days in their offices from 12 Noon to 1 PM for meeting the general public including the elected representatives so that the people were not harassed and the work could be executed well in time. It has also been directed that no meeting should be conducted between the fixed meeting hours, he added. They have been directed to follow the directive of the government in both letter and spirit.
