Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh reviews development projects in of Smart City Project, Municipal Corporation, and Public Works Department Dharamshala
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh chaired a high-level review meeting at the Tapovan Assembly premises on Friday, assessing the progress of various development projects in Dharamshala. The meeting was attended by Mayor Neenu Sharma, Principal Secretary Urban Development Devesh Kumar, Director Urban Development Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Zafar Iqbal, and senior officials from multiple departments.
Dharamshala, December 20, 2024: Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh chaired a high-level review meeting at the Tapovan Assembly premises on Friday, assessing the progress of various development projects in Dharamshala. The meeting was attended by Mayor Neenu Sharma, Principal Secretary Urban Development Devesh Kumar, Director Urban Development Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Zafar Iqbal, and senior officials from multiple departments.
The Minister emphasized that the development of Dharamshala remains a top priority for the government and assured close personal monitoring of all projects. He reviewed ongoing initiatives under the Smart City project, Municipal Corporation, and Public Works Department, directing officials to ensure timely and efficient completion of all works.
Key projects under the Smart City initiative, such as street lighting, parking infrastructure, and road widening, were discussed in detail. Singh instructed officials to complete these projects within the stipulated timelines and ensure the highest quality standards.
During his visit, Vikramaditya Singh inspected the beautification work at Kotwali Bazar Fountain Chowk and urged officials to expedite the process, assuring that sufficient funds would be allocated to meet the city's development needs.
The Minister also toured Thathri village to review the road construction project from Sambar Lahad to Thathri village, which is being developed at a cost of approximately ₹3 crore under PMGSY Stage III. He further inspected the Bhagsunag-Tau Chaila-Bangotoo road, constructed at a cost of ₹6.47 crore under NABARD, and the Dadnu-Indrunag-Chail road, which is being built at a cost of ₹4.34 crore.
