PUN PEDICON 2019 held at Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana

Ludhiana, April 12, 2019: LAP along with Indian Academy of Pediatrics (Punjab State Chapter) Organised a one day CME on April 7 here and conducted a workshop on April 6th, 2019 in DMC&H. The faculty of the workshop were Dr.Jugesh chatwal (Prof, CMC), Dr.Punit Punni (Prof & Head, DMC&H), Dr.Uttam Goerge, Dr.Chandar Kakkar, Dr.Gurpreet Kochar, Dr.Shruti Kakkar.
The distinguished faculty of the conference included Dr. A.Vasudev, Dr.Ashwani Sood, Dr. Joseph Mathews, Dr. Smruti Patel, Dr.Nishant Wadhwa, Dr.Jyoti Bhatia, Dr. Satish Tiwari. The conference had many clinically relevant and current topics like approach to recurrent UTI, antibiotic stewardship, milk and food allergies etc. These topics were of interest to pediatrics post graduate students and to practicing pediatricians. The panel discussion on trends in tropical fever was moderated by Dr.Daljit Singh, ex principal DMCH, wherein renowned pediatricians of the city Dr. Jugesh Chatwal, Dr.Puneet Puni, Dr.Harmesh Bains, Dr.Vikas Bansal were the expert panelists. Post graduate award paper and poster session was organized in which judges Dr.Jasveer Singh, Dr.Inderpreet Sohi, Dr.Deepak Bhatt, Dr.Ashwani Singhal and Dr.Pradeep Sharma adjudged the best papers and posters.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, secretary LAP and organizing secretary of PunPedicon 2019 extended warm invitation to Dr. Pawan Gupta, president LAP to give welcome address. Dr. Pawan welcomed all the delegates, distinguished faculty, renowned pediatricians and office bearers of IAP (Punjab) and LAP Dr. Ashish Wadhwa, Dr. Harinder Singh, Dr. Harpreet Nagi , Dr. Shiv Gupta and others on the dais and off the dais. The inaugural ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr.Ashwani Sharma (secretary LAP) to faculty, delegates, Dr.Harpreet Nagi, team LAP and others for their untiring support. He thanked Dr.Naveen Bajaj and Dr.Anu Sharma for their great support in scientific sessions.
