PUNJAB: 8 teachers dismissed for absenteeism

Chandigarh, January 2, 2013: Punjab Government has dismissed eight teachers, who were absent from their duties for a long period.

Disclosing this here today Director General School Education (DGSE) Kahan Singh Pannu said that the Punjab Government has taken strong exceptional action absenteeism of the teaching faculty in the Government schools of Punjab. He said that the education department has earlier issued instructions to the District Education Authorities to ensure the regular attendance of the teachers in the school. Time and again notices have been issued to the habitual absentee teachers.

He said that eight teachers have been dismissed of the service who were absent from their duties since long. He said that Sunita Rani Hindi Mistress, Govt. High School, Kot Todermal, (Gurdaspur), Satish Kumar, Sr. Secondary School, Bhaini Mian Khan, (Gurdaspur), Rajinder Pal Singh, Govt. Middle School, Dujowal Amritsar, Nirpojit Singh, S S Master, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Fathegarh Churian, Gurdaspur, Mandip Kaur, Hindi Mistress, Govt High School, Kalu Vaheer, Hoshiarpur,  Jatinder Veer Singh, Science Master, Sr. Sec. School, Ratta Abdal Gurdaspur, Jaswinder Kaur, Science Mistress, Sr. Sec. School, Fathegarh Churia, Gurpinder Singh, S S Master, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Bagowani, Gurdaspur.
