Punjab architects express worry to know about state government allowing industry to run as per certain strict guidelines
Ar Sanjay Goel hopes Punjab Government will reconsider its decision
Ludhiana: Reacting to the decision of the state Government to allow industry to run as per certain strict guidelines Ar Sanjay Goel, Chairman- IIA Punjab Chapter and Director - LSCL has written to Punjab chief minister today.
In his communication, Ar Sanjay Goel today said that first of all this is to thank yourself (Punjab CM) that we architects from IIA Punjab Chapter had liked your quick decisions to go ahead for not only lockdown but curfew too in state of Punjab to protect Punjabis and all from upcoming disease of COVID-19 but we are worried a lot today to know that state government has allowed industry to run as per certain strict guidelines.
He added, “We majority architects are of the opinion either there should not be any such relaxation when instructions to pay labour already issued or working should be allowed only in required urgent products industries moreover having very big premises with existing old built in residential facilities of labourers so that required social distancing can be maintained otherwise majority industry in Punjab specially Ludhiana is in congested properties/localities.”
Further, he said, “Hope Punjab Government will reconsider its decision so that we all are healthy always.”
Adding, he said, “We all architects also congratulate Punjab Government, all IAS -IPS officers and their staff, Medical fraternity, Media, Local Government, and all other departments working day and night for healthy life of all.”
