Students of LPU Distance Education coming from different cities of Punjab attending Personal Contact Program at LPU campus today.

Jalandhar, December 8, 2014: Every session, Lovely Professional university organizes weeks-long personal contact program (PCP) for its distance education students. This session, too, hundreds of DE students from across Punjab recently got a golden opportunity to interact with the faculty members and fellow students at the campus. This not only facilitated DE students in grasping the conceptual understanding of the courses but also allowed them to experience university life in equation to regular students. Besides this, DE students also got access to various world-class facilities being provided to regular students at the campus.
Informing about PCP, LPU Director General Er HR Singla said: “LPU always endeavours to provide its Distance Education students almost same level education and allied fields as provided to its regular students. This has resulted in seeing hundreds of DE students placed with prestigious companies like Airtel, Competent Synergies, Dish TV, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infotech Line Max, Life Insurance, Om Logistics Ltd and many more.” Adding Mr Singla said: “University also encourages DE students to participate in national level mega university cultural fests and sports activities.”
Illustrative, a few days back confident LPU DE students participated in LPU Global Open Youth Festival - Youthvibe 2014. Here, competing with students from top-notch national and international institutions, DE students registered their remarkable presence. During this mega event, LPU DE students' team comprising of Renuka and Poonam from Urapar (Punjab) secured first position in 'Heena Making' competition by winning cash prize worth Rs 7000. Also, LPU DE students’ team from Ludhiana secured 3rd position in Skit competition.
One of the LPU DE students Priyanka Dhiman said: “We are thankful to LPU which provided us a great platform like PCP to study in the university environment. The interaction with university faculty and officials was really outstanding”. Another student Amandeep Singh remarked, “The way of teaching at LPU is just awesome. I cleared all my doubts in the PCP classes”. “We are very much thankful to LPU for providing us this doubt clearing session. It will really help us in the Exams”, added still another student Rajwinder.  Worth noticing, this session, DE students from Abohar, Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Banga, Chandigarh, Fatehgarh Churian, Phagwara, Ludhiana, Malout, Malerkotla, Nakodar, Phillaur, Tanda & more attended week- long PCP at the university campus.
