PUNJAB CM DIRECTS TO OFFICERS/OFFICIALS: Don’t leave station without prior permission

Chandigarh, January 02, 2013: In a bid to make the state administration far more efficient and responsive towards general public, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has directed all the officers/officials not to leave their stations of posting without the prior permission of controlling authorities. 

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister Office said that Badal has asked the Chief Secretary to issued detailed instructions in this regard and held all the Heads of the Departments responsible to ensure strict compliance of these instructions.  

It was brought to the notice of Chief Minister that most of the officers especially posted in the field often left their stations of posting without seeking prior permission from the controlling authorities, the spokesperson added.
