Punjab Government appoints 192 doctors in view of Covid pandemic

Chandigarh: Keeping in view the present alarming situation of Covid pandemic in Punjab, Health and family welfare department today appointed 192 Medical Officers.
Disclosing more about this recruitment drive the Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that though Health department is efficiently fighting to control this pandemic but due to the  rising curve of covid cases  we need more staff to serve people more efficiently. Therefore on the directions of Chief minister Capt. Amarinder singh, Health department is leaving no stone unturned to equip itself with the required manpower. So that we may win this battle against Covid as early as possible and make Mission Fateh a success.
It may also be mentioned here that the Punjab Government has completed recruitment of more than 10,000 posts of paramedical and other staff including medical officers from the year 2017 to 2021.
Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu congratulated the new appointees on start of a new career in the Health Department and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities honestly and diligently in various health institutions of the state.He exhorted them to serve the comman man of Punjab in this grim situation.
Director Health Services Punjab Dr.G.B.Singh welcomed the newly appointed staff who got jobs in the health department. He motivated the newly appointed doctors to work efficiently in this pandemic era as a large number of Covid cases are coming to light every day.They have the opportunity to serve the people of Punjab by efficiently performing their duties in the Public health institutions and contributing in ending this pandemic.
On this occasion Superintendent Nirlep Kaur and other officials were also present.
