Ludhiana, March 25, 2025: In a significant move to strengthen ties with the industrial sector and address pressing issues, a high-level delegation from the Punjab Government visited the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) today. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth and development in Punjab.

The delegation was welcomed by Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, along with the Honey Sethi General Secretary of CICU, Dr. S.B. Singh Joint Secretary of CICU and Sarvjit Singh Co-Convenor of CICU Export Committee. The meeting witnessed active participation from industry leaders who raised key concerns affecting the sector. Issues such as delays in policy implementation, high electricity tariffs, inadequate infrastructure, cumbersome regulatory processes, and challenges related to exports were discussed in detail.

Addressing the gathering, Upkar Singh Ahuja emphasized, “The industrial sector is the backbone of Punjab’s economy. We are grateful for the proactive approach taken by the Punjab Government in engaging directly with industry representatives.
