Punjab Government deputes DMs Sports in all districts to raise standard of sports in schools

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has deputed  DMs (district mentor) Sports in all the districts to raise the standard of sports in the schools. After the approval of the Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, the director school education (EE) has released the list of DMs sports.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that this decision has been taken to raise the standard of sports in the schools and to ensure smooth running of sports activities in all the districts. According to the spokesperson, the DMs sports have been deputed  in the 'Khedo Punjab, Tandrust Punjab,' project on the lines of 'Parho Punjab, Paraho Punjab' project.

According to the spokesperson, DMs Sports will monitor the sports at the district level and provide suggestions and training to the physical education lecturers / teachers. DMs Sports will evaluate students under the ' Khedo Punjab, Tandrust Punjab,' project and ensure talent hunt and annual athletic meet in every school. In addition, they will conduct training and seminar programs for physical education teachers. These activities will be conducted after reopening schools following Covid-19.
According to the spokesperson, Kulwinder Singh has been deputed as DM sports in Amritsar district, Gurcharan Singh (Bathinda), Gurman Singh (Faridkot), Pankaj Kamboj (Fazilka), Iqbal Singh Randhawa (Jalandhar), Sukhwinder Singh (Kapurthala), Ranjit Singh (Sri Muktsar Sahib), Rajinder Singh (Patiala), Arun Kumar (Pathankot), Balwinder Singh (Rupnagar) and Paramvir Kaur (all lecturers in physical education) in SAS Nagar. Similarly, Simardip Singh has been deputed as DM sports in Barnala, Aksh Kumar (Ferozepur), Gursewak Singh (Sri Fatehgarh Sahib), Iqbal Singh (Gurdaspur), Daljit Singh (Hoshiarpur), Ajit Pal Singh (Ludhiana), Gurdeep Singh (Mansa), Inderpal Singh (Moga), Jasvir Singh (SBS Nagar), Virinder Singh (Sangrur) and Kulwinder Kaur (all DPEs) in Tarn Taran.
