Punjab Government has failed on health and education front: Bhagwant Mann
CM should replicate Kejriwal government model to control corona, improve education
Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab state President and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann said here on Monday that the Amarinder Singh government had devastated the health services and government education in the state.
Bhagwant Mann, who was here in connection with extending a rousing welcome to prominent leaders of various political parties and other social activists who joined the Aam Aadmi Party, was addressing the media on Monday. He was accompanied by Punjab in-charge and MLA Jarnail Singh, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, Deputy Leader Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, Meet Hayer and Gerry Birring among others.
Expressing his grave concern over the daily spike in the corona epidemic in the state, Mann said during the past 15 days, as many as 15,000 new cases had been added to the tally, while the death toll had touched 400, while chief minister was holidaying at his sprawling Siswan farmhouse, saying the Punjab government should take a cue from the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi to control Corona.
Mann said that when the Corona epidemic was wreaking havoc in Delhi, like in Ludhiana in Punjab, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, had been updating and sensitizing the people of Delhi through media briefings, on a daily basis, saying the Delhi adopted the successful models from anywhere in the country and the world to defeat the Corona.
Bhagwant Mann said if the Amarinder Singh government really wanted to improve and ameliorate the plight of government hospitals, dispensaries and government schools, it was imperative the Kejriwal government was replicated in Punjab.
Lashing out at Amarinder Singh, Mann said that Punjab CM had not fulfilled even 29 promises listed in his 129-page election manifesto, rather offering patronage to the mafia taking its reins from the Badals.
