Says this budget is industry friendly
Ludhiana, February 29: Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Chairman Pawan Dewan said that the budget presented by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal under the abled guidance of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, in the Punjab Assembly last day is Industry friendly and will help
everyone to combat with the current recession.
In a statement issued here, Dewan said that the Government has given a great budget according to the need of the time and the expectations of the people and especially the Industry. It has been announced to build 3 mega industrial parks of 1-1 thousand acres in the state, under which textile will be set up in Mattewada, Ludhiana, cluster in Rajpura and green industry in Bathinda. Infrastructure of focal points at Pathankot, Amritsar, Nawanshahar, Batala, Kotkapura, Nabha, Moga, Sangrur, Khanna and Derabassi will be renovated at a cost of Rs 131 crore. Even CLU will not be taken by the Government from the new industry for 2 years.
Similarly, 19 new industrial training institutes across the state will help the youth to gain individual technical skills and enable them to gain self employment. He said that the Punjab Government is firm on its promise of providing Ghar-Ghar Rozgar and under this the age limit of retirement in the Government sector has also been raised to 58, so that the youth can get more opportunities in Government jobs. The Government is also employing youth in the private sector. He said that this budget is Industry friendly and will help them emerge from the current recession.
