Speaking at the 15th CSC Day event today, Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, highlighted the significance of Common Service Centers. These centers play a crucial role in aiding citizens in rural and remote regions, offering a wide range of services that promote digital inclusion, access to Government and private sector services, financial accountability, e-governance, entrepreneurship, skill development, healthcare and education.
Dr. Kaur emphasized the vital role of Common Service Centers (CSCs) in bridging the digital divide and fostering timely development. She noted that CSCs offer essential services, including UIDAI-Aadhaar, pensions, financial services (banking, loans, Digi-Pay, and insurance), travel services (train, bus, air booking), forex, and DTH services. Additionally, Common Service Centers provide Government services like Ayushman Bharat, e-Shram, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma, and Pradhan Mantri Maan Dhan Yojana, as well as utility bill payments, tele-legal services, educational services (Bal Vidyalaya, Udaan, CSC Skills, government exams, Olympiads), healthcare services, agriculture services (Pradhan Mantri Kisan), E-Sign for defense pensioners, Gramin E-Stores, and more.
During the event, Dr. Baljit Kaur also honored the best performers, acknowledging their outstanding contributions.
