Punjab Governor to address hundreds of LPU’s Transforming Education Awards and Study Grant Recipients on Nov 7
Awards of more than 2.5 Crore Rupees will be awarded to 412 inspiring teachers & students of 107 Schools and 255 Meritorious Students selected from across the country

Jalandhar: LPU has scheduled an annual award ceremony for the 3rd edition of Transforming Education Awards (TEA) and 1st Study Grants distribution on 7th November 2020 (Saturday) at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university. Hon’ble Governor (Punjab) Shri VP Singh Badnore has consented to join the ceremony for a virtual address, and awarding 667 awardee Principals, Teachers, Schools and Meritorious Students selected from across the country. The session of ‘Study Grant’ awarding ceremony will be presided over by LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal.
The awardees will be reaching LPU Campus from all states of India to attend the ceremony. The Award Ceremony will be held at the campus under strict observance of social distancing and other related government-issued directives. Awards of more than 2.5 Crore Rupees will be awarded to 412 inspiring principals, teachers & students of 107 Schools, and 255 meritorious students selected from across the country.
LPU’s "Transforming Education Awards" are to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of those educational centers and their teachers, where the students provide credit to the concerned centers and teachers for doing the best for students by transforming education in the classrooms. Views of students are followed by online voting and evaluation by a panel of experts which enable schools and teachers to earn credits.
Focus of the annual 'LPUNEST Study Grant’ is to establish LPU’s commitment towards rewarding deserving and meritorious students. Under this 'Grant', students avail financial assistance to study at higher education institutions other than LPU.
Meritorious students earn the best ranks in annual LPUNEST examination, and further get admission in top institutions of the country like IITs. This grant is to assist such students to prove to be great professionals and serve the country in the best possible manner. LPUNEST is one of the largest annual national eligibility and scholarship tests of the country. It is a university level examination which is held for admission to various courses at LPU.
