Inaugurates Rajiv Arora OPD Trust-run OPD Clinic in Inderprasth Colony, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana
Ludhiana, March 3, 2023: Rajiv Arora OPD Trust-run OPD Clinic was formally inaugurated by Sanjeev Arora, MP (Rajya Sabha) in Inderprasth Colony, Haibowal Kalan here today.
In his inaugural address, Arora congratulated the promoters of the clinic and said there was a dire need of such medical institutions in the area. He hoped that the newly opened clinic would render quality medical facilities to the local residents. He added that there is a need to promote such medical facilities in the private sector for ensuring health facilities to all at affordable rates.
Arora said the present AAP-led government in Punjab under the able leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh.Bhagwant Mann is very much concerned for providing better health and affordable health facilities at their doorsteps to people of the state. “This is why the state government has started opening mohalla clinics across Punjab”, he said, adding that about 700 mohall clinics would be opened by March 31 this year.
Lauding the services being rendered by mohall clinics, Arora said the services available in these mohalla clinics are so good that people are showing great faith in them. “This is evident from huge turnout of patients at these clinics”, he said. Citing an example, he said about 70,000 patients have got themselves examined and treated only at one such mohalla clinic located near Chand Cinema in Ludhiana. The number of such patients would be in lakhs across the state, he added.
Further, he said the main focus of Punjab CM Sh.Bhagwnat Mann is on health and education. He added that the state government has been achieving its goals in both sectors, and many more things are still in the pipeline. He added that the state government is constantly getting feedback from all the stakeholders to further improve healthcare facilities in the state. “The detailed discussions were held even in recently held 5th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Arora OPD Trust’s head trustee Rajiv Arora said the newly opened clinic has the facilities for eye OPD in association with ASG Eye Care Hospital, Physiotherapy OPD in association with Tarusri Physiotherapy Centre and medicine OPD.
