says commission agents should arrange to pick the crops from doorstep of farmers or call farmers at their places according to fixed schedule

Ludhiana: Leader of Shiromani Akali Dal in Vidhan Sabha and Vice president of Party Sharanjit Singh Dhillon demanded the Congress government to make arrangements for the smooth procurement of wheat.
In a statement here today, Dhillon said that the Government should help the farmers at the time of crisis due to Corona virus.
Dhillon suggested that the government should involve Commission agents (Aarthiyas) for the procurement of wheat and avoid rush in Mandis. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that the Government should give Baardana to Aarthiyas and further they should distribute among the farmers.
Commission agents should arrange to pick the crops from the doorstep of farmers or call the farmers at their places according to fixed schedule. The government should make arrangements that farmers should not come in Mandi’s and their payments will be given timely. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon also demanded to make temporary Mandi’s of group of villages to avoid rush. The Shiromani Akali Dal is ready to support government to help the farmers.
