Notably, this is for the third time that the Punjab Government has announced zero period for all intents and purposes and no interest/ penal interest shall be charged by PSIEC during the said period. "Keeping in view the economic slowdown and resultant disruption in supply chain as a result of COVID-19 Pandemic in previous years, We have decided to further extend the already existing policy of the relief to the plot holders from September 16, 2021 to December 31, 2021,” said Industries Minister Gurkirat Singh.
Meanwhile, Industries Minister assured to further extend the relief period in case such unprecedented situation arises again due to COVID-19 in near future.
