Punjab Mandi Board issues Rs 8.80 crore for widening of link roads of Dakha constituency

Ludhiana: Due to the dedicated efforts for ensuring overall development of Dakha constituency, Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu, Political Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Mandi Board has issued funds amounting to RS 8.80 crore for widening of link roads of Dakha constituency.
As per the letter number South/2359 dated July 13, 2020 of Punjab Mandi Board, the MDA 50 to NH 95 road via Salempura, Bhumal, Keeri, Madarpura, Rauwal, Gorsian Makhan, Swaddi Kalan whose total length is 14.50 kms, Thaath Gurudwara Sahib Bharowal Kalan to Dhothar, Swaddi Kalan road whose length is 5.40 kms would be widened from existing 10 feet to 18 feet, from Agwar Pona to Ludhiana Ferozepur Road (NH95) via Gagra to be widened from existing 10 feet to 18 feet, Dehlon Pakhowal Road to Brahman Majra to Ghungrana to be widened from existing 10 feet to 16 feet.
Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu informed that an amount of Rs 8.80 crore would be spent for this purpose. He said that 26.01 kilometre of roads would be widened by the Punjab government. He assured that in the coming days, more such roads would be widened. He also thanked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab Mandi Board Chairman Mr Lal Singh.
