Punjab minister of industry and commerce holds meeting with industry
Assures to resolve industrial issues soon
Ludhiana: Today, a meeting was chaired by Sham Sunder Arora, Minister for Industry and Commerce, Punjab to discuss the various issues related to the industry.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU and Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU highlighted the following issues:
GST and VAT refund to be released, mining to be restart, labour issue to be resolved, fixed charges for electricity to be removed, skilled center to be upgraded, Halwara Airport to be started, one time settlement for old c forms, export of PPE kits to be promoted and other issues.
The minister assured that special trains/ buses will be run to bring back labour in the industry and other issues related to power, pollution, VAT, c forms, labour reforms etc will be resolved soon.
K.K. Bawa, Chairman, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC), Rahul Ahuja, Head CII Punjab, and G.S Kahlon, D.S Chawla, Jaswinder Singh Thukral and other officials were also present in the meeting.
