Recognising Punjab as a manufacturing hub, Philips Lighting also operates its one of the largest manufacturing assets in Mohali. The Mohali lighting factory supports Philips’ strategy of local manufacturing of lighting products for the Indian market.

In another instance of local success in Punjab, Philips, the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and RAD-AID came together to launch the Asha Jyoti cancer screening campaign to address several unmet healthcare challenges in Punjab. The program has already achieved its goal of providing breast cancer, cervical cancer, and osteoporosis screening to more than 500 rural women in Punjab. In its bid to address the issue of sleep disorders, Philips India has also set up 20 labs in Punjab alone, and a total of 200 in the country.
