Strange that Rahul disbelieves Army, relies on information from China: Tarun Chugh
Says Rahul is consistent in his efforts to damage the image of the country
Chandigarh: The BJP Wednesday slammed senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for going against the national spirit and damaging national interest by disbelieving the information provided by Indian Army and for relying on information from China.
In a hard hitting statement, BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh said, Rahul was consistent in his efforts to damage the image of the country and the Army by raising irrelevant questions based on uncooked and unverified information from different sources from China.
“It is strange that a senior leader of the opposition is hell bent on damaging the image, credibility and prestige of the country and the office of the Prime Minister in his bid to score some brownie points, an effort in which he has failed miserably,” Chugh said adding that the Gandhi family had been trying to malign the image of the office of the Prime Minister but could not do so as PM Narendra Modi remains in touch with 130-crore people of India who have time and again not only approved but hailed the actions of his government.
Chugh said Rahul Gandhi has proved to be a failure many a times and his recent re-launch has also turned out to be a damp squib. He said Rahul has been leading Congress in its attempt to malign the Army and belittle the sacrifices of soldiers who have laid down their lives to protect the borders of the country.
The BJP leader said he was hopeful that the people of the country would defeat Rahul’s attempts to weaken the country. “People of the country have by seen through the designs of the Congress and particularly Rahul Gandhi by playing politics on India’s robust foreign policy which had earned a place of pride since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister of the country,” he said.
He said that actually Rahul needs to answer the questions being asked about Gandhi family’s ‘intimate’ relations with China due to which during successive Congress and Congress-led governments, Indian space was conceded to China, 2008 MoU was signed with much fanfare and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation accepted funds from the neighbouring country.
“Rahul should understand that his anti-national stance is not only disapproved by the people of the country but even Congress leaders and cadres have been talking about the damage he has been doing not only to the country but Congress itself,” Chugh said.
