TSPL intensifies efforts for preparedness against Covid-19
Several steps have been taken to ensure a robust safety mechanism within the premises
Chandigarh: Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), the largest thermal power plant in Punjab has intensified efforts on-site to increase preparedness against the pandemic to ensure the wellbeing of its entire workforce and business partners.
Vikas Sharma, CEO and Whole Time Director, TSPL said, “In the wake of the escalating scenario across the nation, we have reinforced our health and safety measures at our operations to ensure greater preparedness against the pandemic. Simultaneously, we are leveraging digital technologies to monitor the site’s compliance to COVID-19 guidelines issued by state and central governments.”
Several steps have been taken to ensure a robust safety mechanism within the premises, to keep the virus at bay. These include mandatory temperature check, biometric attendance systems and no-touch card punch systems, wearing, asks and relevant Personal Protective Employees (PPEs) and social distancing at the workplace, deploying of no-touch pedal-operated hand sanitizer dispensing machines and ultra-violet (UV) sanitization bags for better hygiene increased frequency of sanitization and disinfection of plant premises, assets, and common areas.
Besides this all meetings, deliberations, discussions, and training are being conducted online to ensure seamless business continuity with minimal physical interaction. In addition to it, TSPL is aiding the district and police administration effectively fight the pandemic.
