Punjab State Inter District U-16 years Tournament begins

Chandigarh: The Punjab State Inter District Under-16 years Tournament was started on 5th August, 2021. The First rounds of League Matches were played at various District Headquarters and detailed results are as under:
Mohali VS Ropar Match Drawn (Mohali won on 1st innings lead)
The day 2 of the match between Mohali vsRopar resume at GovtCollege,Ropar. Ropar was bundled out for 123 in 72.3 overs. Bhavyam Jain 52 was the successful run getter for Ropar in their first innings. Guraansh Singh, Namitveer Singh and Kanwarveer scalped 3 wickets each for Mohali in the first innigs. Ropar following on 70 for 3 in 26 overs before the match ended. VanshArora unbeaten 40 was the highest run getter for Ropar in their 2nd innings. Namitveer, Guraansh and Aryamann scalped 1 wicket each for Mohali in the 2nd innings. Mohali got 3 points on behalf of the first innings lead while Ropar got 1 point.
Jalandhar VS Kapurthala at Burlton Park, Jalandhar (Jalandhar won by an innings and 211 runs)
Kapurthala was bundled out for 46 in 35.4 overs. PranayThareja 5 for 15, Vaibhav 3 for 15 and Parveen 2 for 2 were the main wicket takers for Jalandhar in the first innings. Following on Kapurthala was bundled out for 50 in 32.5 overs. Pranay 4 for 9, Parveen 3 for 6 and Arjun Rajput 2 for 8 were the successful wicket takers for Jalandhar in the 2nd Innings. With this win Jalandhar got7points while Kapurthala got 0.
Barnala VS Bathinda at Trident Complex, Barnala (Match Drawn –Bathinda got first innings lead)
Bathinda in reply was scored 177 for 5 in 90 overs and got 22 runs lead. Karanveer Singh 102 with 13 boundaries was the highest run getter for Bathinda in thier first innings. VarunKaushal 3 for 44 was highest wicket taker for Barnala in the first innings.  Barnala in their 2nd innings was 120 for 5 in 40 overs before the match ended,VanshGoel 56 with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes was the highest run getters for Barnala in their 2nd innings. Armaan Thakur 2 for 25 was the highest wicket taker for Bathinda. Bathinda got 3 points on the behalf of 1st innings lead while Barnala got 1 point.
Ferozepur vs Muktsar Sahib at Polytechnic Ground, Ferozepur (Match Drawn- Muktsar got first innings lead)
Muktsar Sahib in reply was 136 in 61.1 overs in their first innings before the match ended. Harman Singh 52 with 9 boundaries and Reavanpreet Singh 55 off 121 balls with 5 boundaries were the highest run getters for Muktsar Sahib. RaghavDhawan 2 for 40 and ParthGulati 2 for 22 were the main wicket takers for Ferozepur. Muktsar Sahib got 3 points on the basis of 1st innings lead while Ferozepur got 1 point.
Gurdaspur vs Hoshairpur at Govt College Ground, Gurdaspur (Match Drawn- Gurdaspur got first innings lead.
Hoshiarpur in reply was bundled out for 55 in 35.3 overs in their first innings. SaianshSuri 32 with 3 boundaries was the main run getter for Hoshiarpur. ParathKalia 6 for 16 and Vinayak Kumar 2 for 13 were the main highest wicket takers for Gurdaspur. Gurdaspur in their 2nd innings was 87 for 7 in 41 overs before the match ended Jai Sodhi 22 and Chetan 21 were the highest run getters forGurdaspur in their 2nd innings. Aryan Arora 3 for 19 and Harel 2 for 21 were the main wicket takers for Hoshiarpur.Gurdaspur got 3 points while Hoshiarpur got 1 point.
Amritsar vs Faridkot at Barjindra College cricket Ground, Faridkot (Innings not completed due to wet outfield both teams shared 1 points each)
The day 2 play was not resuming at Gandhi Ground, Amritsar due to wet outfield. Both the teams shared 1 point each.
Mansa vs Patiala DhruvPandove Stadium, Patiala (Patiala won by 8 wickets)
Patiala in reply was bundled out for 114 in 63.4 overs in their 1st innings. Anantbir Singh 32 ,VihaanMalhotra 29  were the main run getters for Patiala. KanishkChouhan 4 for 25 and Madhav Nain 4 for 31 were the highest wicket takers for Mansa. Mansa in their 2nd innings was bundled out for 89 in 70.2 overs. Vyom Singh 5 for 16 and Damanpreet Singh 4 for 50 were the highest wicket takers for Patiala. Patiala got the target of 56 runs in 10.4 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. VihaanMalhotra 24* and Anantbir Singh 17 were the main run getters for Patiala in their 2nd innings. With this win Patiala got 6 points while Mansa got 0.
Fatehgarh Sahib VS Ludhiana at GRD Academy, Ludhiana (Ludhiana won the match by an innings and 104 runs)
Ludhiana in reply declared their 1st innings 245 for 2 in 69.3 overs. Ludhiana got the huge lead of 186 runs. Fatehgarh Sahib was bundled out for 82 in 55.5 overs in their 2nd innings.Anmoljit Singh 3 for 14, SainayKakkar 3 for 23 and ShabdTangri 4 for 5 were the main wicket takers for Ludhiana. With this win Ludhiana got 7 points while Fatehgarh Sahib got 0.
