Ludhiana, July 16, 2023: The State Government has embarked on several measures and initiates to support young start-ups, and was fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation to drive economic growth, job creation and social development, said Kamal Kishor Yadav IAS CEO Invest Punjab, while inaugurating the Y-HUB at DCM Young Entrepreneurs School in Ludhiana which has been set up to promote entrepreneurship and innovation amidst school students. Yadav also presided over the UP-RISE event on Women and Young Entrepreneurs organized in collaboration with FICCI Flo, Innovation Mission Punjab and CICU Ludhiana. 

While addressing the prominent businesswomen and start-ups at DCM YES School, Yadav said that India has emerged as one of the largest start-up ecosystem in the world in which women and youths have played a significant role. Yadav said that it was heartening to see the world class incubation and academic facilities at DCM YES School which will go a long way to help students achieve success in life. On the occasion, Somveer Anand CEO Innovation Mission, Dr Anirudh Gupta CEO DCM Group, Rajni Bector from Cremica, Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU, Mridula Jain, Neeraj Jain President LMA Ludhiana, Ankita Gupta Chairperson FICCI Flo and hundreds of top-notch industrialists, women entrepreneurs and young start-ups were present. 

Somveer said that Y-HUB set up by DCM YES will accelerate ideation and foster entrepreneurial spirit amidst students. He said that IM Punjab will extend all possible help to create supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs. Bector shared her entrepreneurial journey of Cremica which started way back in 1978, and shared her experiences that how she overcame all odds to setup highly successful venture. Dr Anirudh said that Y-HUB at DCM YES will offer unparallel platform to transform innovative ideas and businesses. Also, Sartaj Lamba CEO Buddy Cabs, Jaspreet CEO Fundoo Classes, Sanjam Dawar Founder The Drawing Room. Prerna Kalra Founder Daalchini, Divya Oswal Mentor Start-uPs, Dr Vipasha Sharma CEO MCkelly Biotech besides other CEOs and Founders of various companies were also present. The Students of DCM YES School enthralled the audience with their foot tapping musical performance.
