Punjab youth development board organises mega blood donation camp
More than 200 units collected in the camp
Ludhiana: The Punjab Youth Development Board in association with Youth Services Department Punjab today organised mega blood donation camp at Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Gurudwara, here today, in which more than 200 units of blood were collected. Punjab Youth Development Board chairman Mr Sukhwinder Singh Bindra was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Bindra said that dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab celebrations of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, around 100 blood donation camps were organised in the state, in which more than 13,000 units of blood was collected. Another such mega blood donation camp was organised in the city today.
He said that it clearly shows that the Punjabi youth is contributing actively for service to the society. He said that till date, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh, several youths have shunned the drugs by getting treatment from the drug de-addiction centres.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Davinder Singh Lotey, Assistant Director, Youth Services, Ludhiana, Mr Nitin Tandon, Mr Akshit Aggarwal, besides several others.
