The Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) gives a memento to Madav Lal, Secretary, MSME (GoI)at Ludhiana on Thursday.

Ludhiana, September 12, 2013: The Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) held a meeting a meeting with Madav Lal, Secretary, MSME (GoI) and H.P Kumar Chairman & Managing Director National Small Industries Corporation at a local hotel.

The agenda of the meeting was to review the schemes of MSME for better approach to the manufacturing sector.

According to FASII national president Badish Jindal, FASII demanded that high interest rates needs to be reviewed and MSME should be given the loan at base price, cheap imports from China and SAFTA requires to be curtailed, CLCSS be more transparent and more benefits of subsidy be given to Tiny Sector under this scheme. It was also urged that CGTSME requires to be monitored and subsidy be provided for branding.

Further, it was demanded that Lean Manufacturing Schemes be made more effective, SPV be allowed to make clusters under IID scheme, exhibition center requires in Ludhiana and that in tool rooms Micro units be provided the services at cheap rates. It was also demanded that procurement policy of reservation to MSME requires to be strictly implemented, exports facilitation centers in abroad requires to be opened, more efforts requires for skill development scheme and that the importers requires to banned for international exhibitions in China.

Freight equalisation requires to be implemented, it further demanded. The number of departments requires to be reduced and formation of mixed clusters and tool rooms by associations are also required. Stress was also laid on strengthening of Delayed Payment Act and making efforts for GST.

The secretary MSME assured that the IID implementation through SPV will be started soon and also the CLCSS will be amended soon for tiny sector, the other points will be strongly considered in the upcoming MSME policy, revealed Jindal.

In the meeting S.R. Samuel, Joint Development Commissioner of MSME, S.S. Dhillon Director MSME, Rajesh Jain DGM-NSIC, T.L. Khosla Industrial Advisor Punjab, Mahesh Khanna General Manager DIC, Paramjit Singh GM R&D Center, Rajkumar Singla, Shakti Sharma, Upkar Singh Ahuja, Narinder Miglani, Arvind Rai, Vinod Thapar, Paramjit Singh Kahlon, Yashpal Gosain, Ramesh Singla, Vinod Jain, Harish Singla, Narinder Bhamra, Kulwant Singh NKH,  and other government officers were present
