Punjab’s political scenario is still unclear
As less than six months are left for the Punjab Assembly polls, political leaders of political parties are making plans to motivate the cadre and influence the masses to vote for their party. However, the political scenario is still unclear.
SIDHU V/S CAPT
Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu and Capt Amarinder Singh have locked their horns on war of words where as Capt Amarinder Singh is calm and quiet on sensitive issues as he is a seasoned politician. Sidhu’s words are creating atmosphere of anxiety among the Congress leaders, workers and masses. Sidhu has openly challenged high command in regard to the issue of power for taking self-independent decisions in public interest. Punjab is a Border State and it has International Border with Pakistan. Pakistan has always tried to play proxy war in Punjab and even boosted terrorism in Punjab in the past. Irrelevant quotes by the Sidhu’s nominated Advisors have pressurised his two Advisors to quit. As in democratic set up every person has the right of expression, freedom to speech but he has to speak within a specified frame work of the organizational issues. Proving his supremacy dinner diplomacy has paved a new ideology set up in the Congress. In spite of quoting the development works carried by the legislatures and MPs in their areas it is raising of questions mark on each other and challenging each other on sensitive issues. The political leaders should keep in mind that peace and prosperity should be the first preference rather than indulging in controversies on various issues.
BJP: FAITH IN SENIOR LEADERSHIP
Farmers stir has really brought the B.J.P. leaders in Punjab on back foot especially in the rural areas, even though series of District B.J.P. meetings are being carried out under the cover of high security in circuit houses. Punjab B.J.P. Chief Ashwani Sharma in Jalandhar had clearly focused on to carrying out mandal level meetings with booth level in charges. The main vision behind is to boost the mindset of the B.J.P. cadre in the current situation. Doaba has always played a major role in forming the government in Punjab but with the exit of Sukjit Kaur Former M.L.A. and wife of Amarjit Singh Sahi from Dasua Former M.L.A. and Former C.P.S., on 20th Aug 2021 and she joined S.A.D.(B) –B.S.P. Alliance . Her exit from B.J.P. will certainly affect the B.J.P. vote bank in the Kandi Area. Even though Punjab B.J.P. Chief has shown full faith on the senior B.J.P. leaders but even though nothing can be predicted in the present scenario that exits or joins B.J.P. as B.J.P. in Punjab has opened its doors for everyone who wants to join B.J.P. without assuring him any party ticket. Female aspirants who want to contest Punjab Assembly elections are also hopeful that B.J.P. will follow 33 percent quotas for females in allocating party tickets in the coming assembly elections. Punjab B.J.P. Information and Technology Board is updating and up grading its social media platforms such as FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp keeping in mind the coming Punjab Assembly elections. Party Leaders have directed the leaders of the party to highlight Modi Governments social policies benefiting the weaker sections of the society.
SAD GETS BOOST AFTER VICTORY IN DSGMC ELECTIONS
Shiromini Akali Dal (Badal)-BSP Alliance Cadre seems be carrying out series of meetings to boost the cadre especially the worker at grass root level. Sukhbir Singh Badal and his wife former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur are leaving no stone unturned in motivating the masses and advocating on the issues that have been either ignored or denied in the past four and a half years. The alliance between the two political parties will certainly give a boost to the alliance in the Kandi Area. The SAD (B) president Sukhbir Singh Badal is seen excited after getting victory in the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections. This victory is proving a big booster for the SAD(B).
WILL SHEKHWAN BENEFIT TO THE AAP?
Aam Adami Party (AAP) Chief and Deli CM Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Punjab recently. In his presence, former minister Punjab Sewa Singh Shekhwan joined the AAP. Will this development yield any result? The question is still unanswered. The coming time will give answer to the same. Still, political experts say that this joining will not affect more because the SAD, the BJP and the Congress already have their strong hold in various areas of Majha. Sunny Deol from the BJP is MP from the Gurdaspur Constituency. At the end, it may be said that nothing can be predicted in elections. In an election, who so ever wins is a winner.
