Quarterly Conference of NCC Officers held at Batallion Headquarters
A quarterly conference of Associate NCC officers was organized by 2 PB NCC Battalion at its Headquarters in Jalandhar. 25 officers from different institutions attended the conference.
Jalandhar, October 4, 2024: A quarterly conference of Associate NCC officers was organized by 2 PB NCC Battalion at its Headquarters in Jalandhar. 25 officers from different institutions attended the conference.
Commanding officer Col Vinod Joshi discussed the topics i.e. upcoming national camps, selection of cadets, training courses for ANOs' and instructors of Indian Army in detail. Colonel Joshi said that faculty members of teaching institutions are the back bone of the NCC activities. NCC officers are responsible for recruiting cadets every year and running NCC courses in institutions. NCC officers prepare cadets for various examinations held in January and February. They also prepare and guide them for getting commission in the armed forces and other ranks like Agniveer. Colonel Joshi encouraged all NCC officers to do refresher courses on time so that they can get promotions in the future. He emphasized that Care Taker Officers should do PRCN course on time so that they can become NCC officers soon. All officers congratulated Third Officer Deepika Dua on her promotion to lecturer.
Col Joshi said that she should also get promotion in NCC soon. He also thanked all NCC officers from the colleges and schools who attended the conference.
Subedar Major Gulzar Singh and Training Incharge Subedar Rajinder Singh were also present in the conference.
