Every actor understands that playing different roles is like trying on new outfits—sometimes you find just the right one! Radhika Muthukumar, currently starring as Vrinda in Shemaroo Umang's new show ‘Main Dil Tum Dhadkan’, shared how she prepared for her role as a mother and why she feels it’s a great fit for her.
Radhika expressed her thoughts on preparing for her role as Vrinda: “I’m playing a strong woman who would do anything for her son, Kanha. Recently, I had a heart touching experience that helped me connect with the character. While on vacation with my family, I spent time with my nephew, who is about the same age as Kavish, I mean my reel son Kanha. We visited a lot of temples, and I would tie my nephew’s hand to my dupatta to keep him close. I kept telling him 'I’m your Yashoda, and you’re my Kanha.'
She further added "This bond allowed me to tap into Vrinda’s maternal instincts. Being a mother is a big responsibility, but my love for my nephew made it feel natural. Real-life experiences help to bring authenticity to the character and embrace the role wholeheartedly. It’s special to me, and I hope the audience feels the same connection and love between Vrinda and Kanha that we share off-screen.”
