Radio Raabta 90.8 MHz broadcasts programme on UNESCO’s theme Dialogue Tolerance and Peace
Jalandhar, February 13, 2019: Community Radio Raabta 90.8 MHz of PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Doaba College, Jalandhar celebrated World Radio Day by getting registered at UNESCO’s website for the third year consecutively by broadcasting 3 hours programme based on UNESCO’s theme Dialogue Tolerance and Peace. Focusing of the theme dialogue- Samwad, Desraj Kali-Eminent Dalit Writer said that the dialogue is the base of every religion and without dialogue we cannot determine result of any area of study and relevance in our society. Radio Raabta 90.8 MHz launched a new programme cum live chat show entitled “Aao Gallan Kariye” in which Dr. Simran Sidhu (HOD), Prof. Priya Chopra and students Talwinder and Manzoor expressed their views on relevance of dialogue in life, history of radio and brief history of world radio day . Vox pop entitled “My Experience, My Voice” hosted by Prof. Gurpreet Singh, students Parina, Jivesh and Deepak was recorded by students in which youth from college and outside campus focused on significance of Dialogue in their lives in age of social media.
