Winner RCF Team With Chief Guest S P Trivedi, GM RCF.
Kapurthala, December 2, 2018: Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala clinched the Championship title in All India Railway Mid Session Golf Championship which concluded here at the Rail Coach Factory Golf Course. Railway Sports Promotion Board had entrusted RCF Sports Association of organizing this championship from November 30 to December 2.
Railway Teams across the country and Retired Railway Officers participated in this championship. On the concluding day, General Manager of RCF, Mr S P Trivedi presented the Winners Trophy to the Winner RCF team which dominated on both days with a score of 528 .Northern Railway, New Delhi team got first runners up place with a score of 533, while Railway Board, New Delhi team secured second runners up with a score of 558.
G S Hira of Northern Railway was given the Best Golfer Award for the score of 165, while Dr B S Gill of RCF was runners-up with 170 score. Ashish Gupta of RCF was given the Best Net Score prize for the net score of 74 on Day 2, while R S Beeka of RCF was given the Best Net Score prize for the net score of 70 on Day 1.
In Retired Officers Category, Narottam Das was given the Best Golfer Award for the score of 88(43), while P K Agarwal was runners-up with 88(45) score. Rajeev Chandra was given the Best Net Score prize for the net score of 38 on Day 2, while S K Suri was given the Best Net Score prize for the net score of 39 on Day 1.
Mrs Alka Jindal, Mrs Sarita Kumar, and Dr. Mrs Jyoti Trivedi were winners in Ladies Putting Event.
Mr T P Singh, GM (Northern Rly and North Western Railway) Mr. C.M. Jindal, President of RCF Spots Association, All HODs of RCF along with Officers of RCF, Mr. Vivek Kumar DRM / Ferozepur, Officers from Railway Sports Promotion Board etc.were present on the occasion .
Mr. S P Trivedi complimented for the successful organizing of the golf competition and praised the golf skills shown by the golfers. He said that RCF Golf Course is one of the finest golf courses in the country.
