Rajasthani artists entertained audience with traditional style of drama Nautanki on 9th day

Bathinda, October 9, 2021: On the 9th evening of 15-day 10th National Theater Festival of Natyam running at Balwant Gargi Open Air Theater, Bathinda, was organized in association with North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, in which artists of Ras Rang Manch Sanstha from Jaipur, Rajasthan, played the drama 'Aala Afsar' in their traditional style of nautanki. During the presentation, around two dozen artists were singing along with the acting and took a jibe at the corruption spread in the system. Written by Mudra Rakshas and directed by Mukesh Verma, the story of the play revolves around a village, in which everyone is waiting for the arrival of an officer but got cheated by a liar as the actual officer has yet to arrive.
Chairman of Natyam Dr. Kashish Gupta, President Sudharshan Gupta, and Director Kirti Kripal told that the special guests who arrived during the 9th evening of Natyam festival were renowned business-man and social worker Amarjit Mehta, Director Youth Welfare of Punjabi University Patiala Dr. Gursewak Lambi, Ravindra Sharma and Bhupinder Singh from NZCC, Sunil Gupta and Shashi Gupta were present. On behalf of Amarjeet Mehta, all kinds of cooperation were assured to take this drama fair to the international level.
